ENGLISH WITH RACHEL
Welcome to my tutoring page. I am based in Farrington in Lancashire.
I am an experienced English teacher and I have been teaching for 16 years. I am passionate about helping young people gain confidence and overcome barriers preventing them from achieving the very best they can in English.
ABOUT ME
A little about me
I started teaching in 2006 and my career began teaching young offenders and students who had missed vital parts of their education for various reasons.
From here I went to teach in colleges and helped students re-sitting their GCSE English, all my students were reluctant learners and had various barriers to learning. My career progressed to Curriculum Lead where I mentored staff designed an engaging curriculum for all learners to access and as a result had excellent results. Wanting to challenge myself my last role was in prison education. This was an extremely satisfying role, teaching prisoners English, some who had not entered a classroom for many years.

PRIVATE TUITION
I offer Private tuition for students studying towards their English GCSE.
I also offer students tuition if they need extra support with any aspect of their English, reading or writing.
ONLINE TUTORING
